Terms of service

Draft — pending legal review

This text describes how the system actually behaves, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It must be reviewed and aligned with Egyptian law and Ministry of Health regulations before the first paying clinic is signed.

1 What the service is

iyadatna is a clinic management system: appointments, patient records, encounter documentation and billing. It is an organisational and documentation tool — **not a medical device**. It does not diagnose and does not recommend drug doses. Every clinical decision rests with the treating clinician alone.

2 Accounts and permissions

The clinic is responsible for its staff accounts and for the permissions of each role. Two-factor authentication is mandatory for any user reaching a medical record. Sharing accounts is not permitted — every action is recorded against the account that performed it.

3 Accuracy of data

The clinic is responsible for the accuracy of the data it enters, and for obtaining any patient consent the law requires before recording data or sending notifications.

4 Subscription and payment

Subscriptions are monthly or yearly depending on the chosen plan and renew automatically unless cancelled. Prices are in Egyptian pounds. The trial period is free and carries no obligation.

5 Late payment

A missed payment opens a grace period with full access, followed by a read-only period in which the clinic can view and export its data but not record new commercial transactions. **Clinical documentation is never blocked** during this period — preventing a clinic from recording a patient encounter over a billing lapse would be unsafe.

6 Data ownership

The clinic’s data, and its patients’ data, belong to the clinic. It may request an export at any time while on an active subscription or during the read-only period.

7 Availability and maintenance

We aim for the highest practical availability, with maintenance windows announced in advance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation and are not liable for interruptions caused by a third-party provider or by the clinic’s own network.

8 Limitation of liability

Our liability is in all cases limited to the subscription fees paid over the preceding twelve months. We are not liable for any harm arising from a clinical decision or from data the clinic entered incorrectly.

9 Termination

The clinic may cancel at any time. We may suspend an account for a serious breach of these terms or for use that endangers the security of the system or patient data, with prior notice wherever possible.
